Baptism Class


Baptism classes are the first Thursday of the month from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Parish Hall. There is no cost for the Baptism class and no appointment is needed. Classes are required for both parents and godparents.

The Blank for Baptism Register can be found under the 'Forms' page. Please fill it out and bring it to class along with a copy of the baby's birth certificate or hospital certificate.

Godparents must be at least 16 years of age and must have the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. If married, must be married in the Catholic Church. The godparents cannot be the parent or spouse of the one to be Baptized and must be practicing Catholics.

If the parents or the Godparents would like to take the Baptism Class at another church please provide a copy of the certificate of completion to prove you have taken the class and fill out our Blank for Baptism Register located on the 'Forms' page. Both can be faxed or dropped off at the Parish Office.

Baptismal classes are good for up to two years. If it has been more than two years since you have taken a baptism class you will need to retake it.

Baptism Ceremony

Sunday: 3:00 PM

By appointment only. To schedule a Baptism both parents and Godparents need to take a baptismal class (please see the above requirements) as well as fill out and turn in our Blank for Baptism forum. The forum can be downloaded and printed from our website on the 'Forums' page. We also need a copy of the baby's birth certificate or hospital certificate.

Father has baptisms every Sunday except on the Corpus Christi and Eternal Father feast days. Corpus Christi is usually the last Sunday in June and the Eternal Father feast day is usually the first Sunday in August.

The Baptism Ceremony is $10.00 plus whatever donation you would like to make to the Priest.

The baby must wear all white.

Also, please bring a Baptismal candle and a white bib, stoll or handkerchief. You may purchase a stoll and/or candle for $2.50 each at the Parish Office or from Father the day of the Baptism.
